Review: Shakespeare’s Theatre Much Ado About Nothing Bag by Vendula London

Many long time followers of mine will know that I love a book themed handbag. I have a sizeable collection, and my favourite is a gorgeous Vendula London Old Bookshop bag that I received as a Christmas gift in 2022.
So I’m sure you can imagine that I was very excited when I saw that Vendula were releasing a new Shakespeare themed collection, based around the play Much Ado About Nothing.
As with their other collections, Vendula sell the design in a variety of styles. In this instance I opted for the Mini Grace Bag as I wanted something unique that I could style with a formal dress in the evening while on a cruise. I loved how it looked paired which my pink tulle dress!
The structure of the bag itself is very similar to some of Vendula London’s previous designs. It’s shaped to resemble an old fashioned theatre, albeit with a more modern colour pallet, and opens up from the roof. There are some interactive elements too - you can grasp the door handles and open the faux wooden doors to reveal two cats which are dressed to look like characters from the play, and the flags on either side are movable as well. It all comes together to create a very unique and striking statement piece unlike anything else I’ve seen.
One of the things that I love about Vendula bags are that they’re both beautiful and practical. This bag has two open pockets inside as well as one with a zipper, plus another small zipped pocket on the back. It’s not quite big enough to carry a paperback but that’s ok - I chose this bag specifically because I wanted something that was small. Fortunately the Vendula bags always come in a range of sizes and styles, and they have larger options available if you’d like something bigger for everyday use.

I’ve found that Vendula bags tend to be long lasting, and I’m sure I’ll enjoy using this one for years to come.
