Suri Electric Toothbrush Review - Should I Buy One?
(AD, gifted: I was sent this product to review by Suri, however, all opinions are my own)
Having somehow reached the age of 30 and only ever used a manual toothbrush, I was excited to change things up and give Suri’s sustainable electric toothbrush a try.
Looking after my teeth is something that’s important to me - I hate having dental work done and try to avoid needing it as much as possible. So, one of my resolutions for 2025 was to start using an electric toothbrush, which is thought to be more effective in removing plaque and improving general oral hygiene.
I was so excited when Suri offered to send me one of their lovely electric toothbrushes in return for an honest review. I like to own things that are aesthetically pleasing, and while many electric toothbrushes on the market seem plasticky and tacky, these come in a range of lovely colours which include sunset blush, sea mist, midnight black, morning waves and winter fern, which I chose.
The toothbrushes themselves are slim with an aluminium casing, and crucially, the brush heads are fully recyclable, which makes them much more environmentally friendly than other brands. I was also sent a charger and a UV travel case, which makes it easy for me to keep it clean on my travels.
Here’s everything else you need to know about Suri’s electric toothbrush:
The bristles are medium - soft, so gentle on the teeth and gums
Each toothbrush is waterproof, has two brushing modes and a 40+ day battery life
They are designed to be taken apart and fixed or recycled at the end of their lifespan
The brush heads can be recycled by Suri for free
So, what did I think?
Upon receiving my toothbrush, I immediately loved how sleek its design and packaging were. The toothbrush itself is pretty and comfortable to hold, while the winter fern hue looks pretty in my bathroom.
As I’m new to using an electric toothbrush, the first few days of using my Suri toothbrush felt a little strange, and produced a tickly sensation on the inside of my mouth. To help with this I started using the toothbrush on the lower power setting, and the tickly feeling quickly resolved within the first week.
In terms of its impact on my teeth themselves, I can easily say that they definitely feel more clean in comparison to when I only ever used a manual toothbrush. When using my Suri toothbrush I find it easier to reach the back of my mouth to clean my wisdom teeth, including one on my lower jaw which grew in at an awkward angle. I also noticed that brushing now feels much more intentional, and I can feel the brush head moving across each tooth more than I could with my manual toothbrush. I haven’t visited my dentist since swapping to my Suri electric toothbrush, but I feel hopeful that my they will be pleased with the cleanliness of my teeth (fingers crossed!)
As well as being effective for daily use, I also really like the idea that these are more friendly for the environment. I was previously using manual toothbrushes, which had to be thrown away and replaced on a regular basis (although I do believe that some can be recycled). I now fully intend to continue purchasing replacement heads from the Suri website at my own expense and returning the used heads as part of their recycling scheme.
To conclude, I would definitely recommend purchasing the Suri electric toothbrush. Whether you’re looking to upgrade from a manual toothbrush or are looking for a more sustainable option, these toothbrushes are high quality, effective and easy to use.
How to buy one for yourself
The Suri electric toothbrush is currently available on their website, with prices starting at £75 for the toothbrush on its own. That increases to £95 when also purchasing the UV travel case (which I would recommend).
You can also sign up to their subscription service as an optional extra. For £9.60 + £1.99 delivery Suri will send out one package every 6 months, containing two toothbrush heads (it is recommended that you change your toothbrush head every 3 months). These prices are correct as of January 2025 and are subject to change.
