When it comes to literary themed clothing, Joanie is one of my go-to brands.
Whether you work as a bookseller, librarian, or just want to show off your love for books, you’ll find something you love in Joanie Clothing’s Book Lovers edit.
To celebrate World Book Day, Joanie have sent me some of their favourite pieces from the collection to try. With options ranging from floaty book print dresses to cosy cardigans, oversized jumpers and soft shirts, I was spoilt for choice, and had so much fun styling them.
Here’s what I thought of each one, with an overview of the rest of the collection.
My Review
Outfit One:
This fun t-shirt is really soft and comfortable, having been made from organic cotton and natural fibres.
I’ve paired it with some comfortable trousers and would finish the outfit by adding a knitted cardigan and trainers.
It currently costs £29 on the Joanie website and is available to buy here.
Outfit Two:
Mable Denim Square Neck Pinafore Dress & Lovelace Book Jacquard Oversized Cardigan
This combo has to be my favourite of the bunch! The denim pinafore dress is perfect for spring, while the cardigan adds a fun literary pop to the outfit.
Made from vintage-style cotton and mid-wash denim, the dress has a little bit of stretch and is comfortable to wear. Its midi length makes it ideal for everyday use.
I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of this dress during the spring and autumn months, when I’m keen to wear a dress but the weather is reasonably cool.
The cardigan is made from a thick knitted material, which Joanie describes as a LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose blend. It has a slightly oversized fit and a retro vibe, with a bold geometric print. I’m planning to brighten up bland outfits with this fun cardigan.
The denim pinafore dress currently costs £75 and is available to buy here.
The book cardigan is priced at £39, reduced from £65, and available to buy here.
Outfit Three:
My final look from the book edit collection, this adorable book print dress is perfect for a bookseller, teacher or a librarian. It features the same geometric print as the cardigan, making it a great statement piece for my wardrobe.
With a practical midaxi length, the LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose feels soft and cool against my skin. I love the colours and can’t wait to wear this dress when out and about.
This dress is currently reduced to £45 from £75 and is available to buy here.
