Lakeland DrySoon Heated Airer review
Here’s everything that you need to know about the DrySoon Heated Airer from Lakeland.
We invested in the DrySoon Heated Airer after borrowing an older model from a family member. With the cold winter months quickly approaching, my partner and I knew that we needed a new one as it had become one of our essential household items.
I was keen to see how well this new heated airer measured up, and whether it was worth the high price tag.

My Review
We’ve been using the heated airer now for a number of weeks, and it definitely feels like an upgrade from our previous model.
One of the things I like is that it seems to get a lot hotter than the airer we had before. We keep it in the airing cupboard with the door open, and it heats the space up really well. There’s also lots of room to hang up our laundry, and it dries quickly - which is what we needed it for!
The timer also works really well, and I’ve been using it to set the heating on for a limited amount of time during the day. It’s difficult to say how much it’s costing us to use the airer, as we had one like this before. I’d be interested to hear from someone who is able to test whether it’s cheaper to run than a tumble drier!
The only drawback I’ve found from using the DrySoon is that the heated bars are positioned very close together, which can make it a bit fiddly to drape clothing in between them. That’s only a minor point, however, and doesn’t put me off the product as a whole.
Would I Recommend Buying Lakeland’s DrySoon Heated Airer?
I feel that a heated airer is a very useful item to have at home while it’s cold outside. They’re cheap to run, and it prevents your laundry from having that damp smell that occurs when it takes too long to dry.
This particular airer, while expensive, is a great product and seems like it will stand the test of time. If you can afford it then I would definitely recommend splashing out. If you have a tighter budget, you can definitely find cheaper options online that will also do the job.
